I painted this while on a 3 month residency in Paris 2005. I was inspired by another artist I met who had been visiting from Sau Paulo. He was a man of very few words but his inspired paintings spoke volumes!
His eyes were sad at times because he was missing home as was I.
The original oil over acrylic began as a hand-pulled monoprint on paper.
